Freelance Car Insurance Blogger
Job Description
Consumer Media Network is looking for a knowledgeable, engaging blogger for a full-time position in the auto insurance arena. If you have experience in the insurance industry, an in-depth understanding of consumer affairs, and the ability to write concise, informative posts on a host of subjects, we want to hear from you.
We’re looking for writers who can bring personality and style to consumer-driven content, and who can report on and explain a variety of detailed topics in a helpful, easy-to-read format. Strong candidates will have:
– a P&C license in at least one state (current or recent);
– experience with front-line underwriting;
– knowledge of current auto insurance laws and regulations across multiple states;
– experience working with consumers, possibly (but not limited to) sales;
– and a willingness to cultivate contacts in the insurance industry.
This position will require a hands-on blogger willing to write and publish daily posts in coordination with an editorial supervisor. You’ll work with editors to brainstorm and fine-tune ideas, and you’ll also oversee the site’s functionality and content quality. Strong candidates will be able and willing to field a variety of insurance-related questions from readers and help them become smarter consumers. Social media skills are a must, as well, as the role requires someone dedicated to promoting and enhancing the site through social channels.
