The Weber Shandwick Corporate Communications team is looking for a highly creative and collaborative individual to join our Design Studio as a Graphic/New Business Designer. The Designer’s primary role will be developing creative design solutions for both new business opportunities and current client assignments, which span a variety of Global Brands.

This individual relishes creative challenges, conceptualizing both independently and along with colleagues, and executing campaigns using multiple programs – in particular the Adobe Creative Suite and PowerPoint. S/he will take an active role in all stages of design projects from conceptualization to execution. Strong layout and typography skills, attention to detail, strong interpersonal skills, ability to work against and meet tight deadlines, and most of all enthusiasm and a passion for Design are crucial to success in this role.

The Graphic / New Business Designer will:

• Conceptualize and execute complex materials that visually engage readers/viewers;
• Have extraordinary eye for typography, layout and color;
• Have expert-level mastery of the Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Word and PowerPoint;
• Digital experience and HTML/CSS Coding experience a plus;
• Provide business development and account teams with creative counsel and direction and request the right direction from clients as needed;
• Identify/create “extras” that bring a campaign/presentation/proposal to life, i.e., creating campaign logos; developing in-room assets beyond PPTs, boards, etc., that can help tell our story in a powerful way, etc;
• Create customized PowerPoint and Word document templates and style sheets that teams can easily use;
• Honor our firm’s brand assets, graphic and style guidelines, as well as those of our clients/prospects;
• Continually seek out new ways to help differentiate us from competitors, i.e., new formats, styles, techniques, perspectives, etc.;
• Collaborate with design colleagues across our network

Requirements:

• 3-5 years work/design experience
• Ability to anticipate and support needs of multiple internal clients
• Strong time management skills
• Attentive to detail and quality
• Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign
• Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
• Infographic design
• Flash, web design, interactive design
• Print/vendor management
